Assalamualaikum to my fellows friend and my beauty Madam Nora' ayu Ahmad Uzir , Today I would like to update my first assignment for IMC407 ( Management of Internet Information Sources and Services ) taught by Madam Nora'ayu Ahmad Uzir. The theme is about social media tools, so I choose iTunes.
iTUNES SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLS
INTRODUCTION
Itunes is media management software created by Apple. As
well as other types of media available on the iTunes Store on personal
computers running the OS X and Microsoft Windows operating system. It can use it to
manage and play both audio and video files on user computer and device phone,
for device phone just only for Iphone.
BACKGROUND
OF iTUNES.
iTunes begins on 1998 developed by Bill
Kincaid and named as SoundJam MP. Then it was released by Casady & Greene
and renamed iTunes when Apple purchased it in 2000. Jeff Robin , Kincaid, and
Dave Heller moved to Apple as part of the acquisition, where they continue to
work as the softwares original developers. At first iTunes consist as a simple
music player then iTunes developed into a sophisticated multimedia content
manager, hardware synchronization manager and e-commerce platform. Nowdays the current version of iTunes enables users to
manage media content with handheld devices, stream Internet radio and purchase
music, films, television shows, audiobooks and application via iTunes Store.
Apple is a
company multimedia branded and quality. The product is produced by Apple
are Ipod touch, Iphone, Ipad,Apple TV (
4th generation ). Initially, through the iTunes Store, users can
purchase and download music, music videos, television shows, audiobooks,
podcast, movies and movie rentals in some countries, and ringtones. iTunes 12
is the most recent major version of iTunes that was available for OS X v 10 .7
. 5 or later and Windows XP, it was released on October 16, 2014. iTunes 12.2
adds Apple music to the application, along with the Beats 1 radio station. This
release was simultaneous with the release of iOS 8.4 and Apple Music on iPhone,
iPad and iPod Touch.

- Streaming music : User can open a stream in iTunes just by entering the URL in the “ Open Stream “ in dialog box.
- Internet radio : User can set Internet radio presets.
- Graphics : User can view audio-coordinated graphics on-screen and print jewel-case art for users burned CDs
- CD track information : iTunes automatically displays all available CD information when you insert a disc into the drive. User can also edit the it is incomplete or wrong.
- Organization and management tools : iTunes will convert your AAC, AIFF , Apple Lossless, MP3 or WAV format.
APPLICATION
OF iTUNES :
Through the
iTunes Store , users can purchase and download music, music videos, television
shows, audio books, podcast, movies, and movies rentals in some countries and
ringtones. Other that, its can backup data from iPhone such as music and movies.
Furthermore, using iTunes to synchronize the information users device with the computer. For example, if
user have memories or music on the computer, syncing adds this media to your
Iphone, iPad or iPod touch.
SWOT
ANALYSIS
Strength :
It
can backup data include music and ringtones.
Other that, if the user lost the iPhone, data in the iPhone was backup
already.
Weakness :
iTunes
can not share any multimedia with other devices, for example android users. It is
also can not for saving documents. Addition, half of the music the user should
pay if want to buy music from iTunes.
Opportunity :
iTunes can watching the latest music video or
movie, can also download the latest music or ringtones. It is also have to connect
to
Threats :
But
sometimes, do not notice the charge
imposed for the users. Other thats, iTunes account can be hacked.
BENEFITS TO THE NET CITIZEN
- Allows user to equip the team with software that manage audio and video media, aotumates the downloading of company podcasts, and handles syncing and backing up iOS device . Its also completely free, which allows you to do this without having the debt into user budget.
- Also the best software platforms integrated with iOS devices on the maker place. Though various third-party programs can upload audio recordings to iPhones, iPod Touches and iPads, iTunes is the only program that can handle coordinating operating system upgrades while managing applicaions at the same time, making it a fast option when employees need to use it on a daily basis to exchange company-related media.
- iTunes also has a range of content that can be useful to employees for improved performance. Installing iTunes gives them access to the broad range of business podcast, as well as business classes through the iTunes U education application and business books and audiobooks through the iTunes bookstore. Used properly, iTunes can be a gateway to information that makes your team more productive.

CONCLUSION
At the end,
iTunes is the best platform for apple user to download audio and video. When the
user download the media, they will got the high quality and give them satisfied to
watch the video very clearly. In addition,the user also can download the latest
video and music from iTunes without charged. Furthermore, download iTunes apps
is a free. So , it is easier for user too download in their PC or media device.
But iTunes is just for Apple users only and not qualified for other user such
android users. In the social media tools, I would like to choose iTunes because
I am a user of Apple product. So , in this way I can learn more about iTunes
and download many audio and video files, the latest movie and can watch the
music video without charged.
